Security and privacy
You are trusting us with your floor plan, your staff list, and the concerns your staff report. Here is how we treat that.
Where data lives
ProtectED runs on managed cloud infrastructure in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Daily backups are retained for 30 days.
Who can see what
- Every user has a role, and every role sees only what it needs. Staff see protocols, training, and alerts. Administrators see everything for their school. No school can see another school’s data.
- Concern reports are visible only to the administrators your school designates.
- LiveMap responder links are generated by your administrator and can be revoked at any time.
- ProtectED support staff access a school’s account only when you ask us to, and that access is logged.
Student data
Core plans collect no student data. The reunification roster on Plus and Campus stores only what reunification requires: student name, grade, and authorized pickups. We never collect student health, discipline, or academic information, and we never sell or share data with anyone.
The Parent Safety Page
The public page shows readiness, not vulnerabilities. It never displays floor plans, staff names, alert history, concern reports, or visitor logs. You control whether it is published.
Concern reporting
Reports go to your designated administrators. ProtectED does not monitor reports and is not an emergency service. Every reporting screen directs emergencies to 911.
Your data is yours
Export everything at any time from Settings. If you cancel, your data is available for 90 days and then permanently deleted.
